USA: Gear up @ thestore.adidas.com
The brand's online extension will feature a greatly expanded breadth and depth of adidas footwear, apparel and accessories, much of which is not carried in traditional retail stores.
thestore.adidas.com has been ramping up with traditional sports categories and product offerings geared towards giving consumers convenient access to adidas gear. Featured sports categories will now include running, soccer, basketball, training, football, baseball, tennis, team product for all sports, and adidas U.S. Olympic Team licensed product.
Throughout July, thestore.adidas.com will add additional products to increase the selection of adidas' non-traditional sports categories from nine to 25. The site will offer products from adventure, cycling, badminton, BMX, boxing, fencing, gymnastics, handball, rowing, rugby, skate, swim, volleyball, walking, weightlifting, wrestling, and originals. In addition, five concept shops -- Olympic, Training for Sport, BMX, Adventure, and Originals -- will be introduced on thestore.adidas.com.
Enhancements designed to give the online adidas customer a premier shopping experience include a wish list that can be saved for future purchases or emailed to a friend as gift hint. Users can also order gift certificates for friends and family and even personalize the message. Products purchased on the adidas site come with an unconditional guarantee. If customers are not satisfied with adidas products purchased from adidas' online store, subject to normal wear and tear, they can be returned to the site for full refund or exchange.
adidas currently provides a larger offering of products for sports than any other brand, many of which will now be available online. "It is the range of sport categories and product offerings that adidas is able to offer to all athletes from fencing to basketball that makes our site unique," explained Annette Stroud, Director of E-Commerce, adidas America. "For many athletes and fans, finding training and performance product specific to their sport has been difficult. Today, athletes can browse and purchase the products they need to compete and train in at thestore.adidas.com."
The online store can be reached through its stand-alone address at http://thestore.adidas.com, or through the global home page at www.adidas.com.
