Genesco Inc. (NYSE: GCO) today reported net earnings of $6.0 million, or $0.25 per diluted share, for the first quarter ended April 29, 2000, compared with $4.1 million, or $0.16 per diluted share, for the first quarter last year.Net sales for the first quarter increased 17% to $151.0 million from $128.
