Gerber develops 'cloud' YuniquePLM solution
Gerber Technology has developed an 'In The Cloud' subscription-based version of its YuniquePLM product lifecycle management tool that offers the same benefits but without what it says is costly IT infrastructure.
The launch was made at Gerber's annual Ideation event in Las Vegas and was the result of ongoing community feedback, technology trends and needs identified in past Ideation events. Also shared were enhancements to AccuMark 3D, and key processes including virtual sample management and a pilot Internet of Things (IoT) management dashboard.
"Cloud-based technology is one of the most important trends in the industry," said Gerber CEO Mike Elia. "We believe offering YuniquePLM In The Cloud at an affordable monthly rate will remove competitive barriers between large and small companies and empower our community of users to achieve optimum results. We are the first in the industry to offer an easy experience from trial to subscription and online learning."
YuniquePLM In The Cloud provides all the benefits of the company's V6.1 software, including the ability to generate and export user-created product and line report views, and increased functionality within the 3D file support module. Additionally, the company said, it offers "flexible and scalable" product lifecycle management software without the costly IT infrastructure, so more accessible to users of all sizes.
