US: Gerber Technology buys technical textiles cutter company

Gerber Scientific Inc, the parent of CAD/CAM developer Gerber Technology, has bought cutting systems manufacturer Data Technology Inc in a move that will broaden its product range for the fast-growing technical textiles and composites markets.

Data Technology, based in Wilmington, Massachusetts, makes precision cutting systems and recorded annual revenues of just under $10m in its last fiscal year.
