German fashion company Gerry Weber International AG has posted net profit gains of around 22% in the first half of the 2006 financial year as revenues rose and efficiency measures helped profitability.
Net profit at the group rose to EUR10.3m (US$12.9m) from the previous year's EUR8.4m as Earnings before interest and tax rose by 12.7% to EUR17.8m. In terms of sales revenues, the Gerry Weber brand confirmed its unique position within the brand portfolio with sales of EUR128.0m and a 12.1% growth rate, reported Dow Jones.
The company expects total sales to rise to EUR440m in the current fiscal year, with EUR500m projected for 2006/2007.
