US: Gilt Groupe names Peluso CEO
Flash sales website Gilt Groupe has appointed Michelle Peluso as its chief executive officer.
She replaces Gilt Groupe founder and existing CEO Kevin Ryan, who will become chairman. Ryan takes over from Susan Lyne, who has been named vice-chairman.
Peluso will join Gilt from financial conglomerate Citigroup, where she serves as global consumer chief marketing and internet officer. She has previously held various roles at online travel agencies Travelocity and Site59.

Ms. Peluso is currently the Global Consumer Chief Marketing and Internet Officer at Citigroup and has served on the Board of Directors of Gilt since October 2009.
