Apparel chain Goody's Family Clothing Inc on Wednesday revealed it swung to a profit during the second quarter thanks to higher prices and lower inventory levels. The Tennessee-based operator of more than 300 outlets in the South and Mid-West US said it made $1.3 million, or four cents a share, in the 13 weeks to August 3, compared to a loss of $11.1m, or 34 cents a share, in the year-ago period.
