Ulf Gustafsson has returned to Fjällräven to take up the role of international sales director. He was in charge of domestic sales in Sweden for the brand in the early 1990s. He then moved on to Ecco in Denmark and helped to promote the Gore-Tex brand in Scandinavia. Fjällräven has a strong 74 per cent foreign sales ratio, not including its successful Japanese licence and its strongest market is Germany, where sales grew by 10 per cent last year. The strongest increase took place in the Benelux countries, where sales rose by 40 per cent. Norway and Sweden grew by 11 and six per cent respectively.
