US-based men's and women's apparel and sports wear manufacturer Haggar has been granted a registered trademark for its American Generations lines, which include Black Label.

Established in 1999, the tag line, "American Generations," reinforces the company's history, alludes to a generation of consumers and products and reflects the fact that Haggar has its roots steeped in America.

"The American Generations imagery has transformed our heritage into an attitude for our brands: to embody the American dream and reflect the self- confidence of today's consumer who aspires to succeed," said Alan Burks, chief marketing officer and senior vice president of marketing.

American Generations is divided into four lines - Haggar Generations, Black Label, Heritage Haggar and Gold Haggar - and covers a range of clothing including khakis, shirts, shorts, socks, belts, sweaters and outer wear.

Headquartered in Dallas, Haggar Clothing Co is the operating subsidiary of Haggar Corp. It has subsidiaries in Canada and the UK and markets including the US, UK, Canada, Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia.
