US: Haggar appoints president, creative director of Haggar Women's Wear

Clothing marketer Haggar has appointed Edward M Jones III president and creative director of Haggar Women's Wear, effective yesterday (10 April).

Jones will be responsible for all operations of the company's women's apparel subsidiary, reporting to Jim Lewis, president and CEO.
 
Prior to joining Haggar, Jones was the CEO and chairman of GM Design Group, a bridge women's sportswear company and, since 1988, chairman of Jones Texas, a firm that specialises in brand positioning, strategic planning, and product development.

Lewis said: "Our women's business is a critical component of our future growth plans. I can think of no better hands in which to place this important franchise than those of Ed Jones. Ed's myriad accomplishments in the apparel industry over three decades, and his track record of building powerful brands which endure, make him an invaluable addition to the Haggar management team."

Haggar markets men's casual and dress apparel and women's sportswear in the US, Canada, Mexico, and the UK.
