The timing of the sale program set by the receivers and managers of retailer Harris Scarfe has been extended to allow the "best possible deal to be done" at the request of a number of parties. Bruce Carter and John Spark of specialist turn-around and corporate recovery firm Ferrier Hodgson said they were currently in advanced stages of discussion with several parties interested in purchasing Harris Scarfe but were unable to meet an "ambitious deadline" of June 30 for finalising its new ownership.
