US: Heelys CFO Hessong quits
By just-style.com | 14 May 2008
Mike Hessong, CFO at struggling footwear specialist Heelys, has resigned from his post with immediate effect "in order to pursue other interests".
The company, which gave no other reasons for Hessong's departure, said it had begun a search for his successor.
Hessong's resignation comes less than a week after the company announced a first quarter loss of US$1m, thanks to continued problems with retailer inventories.
"On behalf of this entire organisation, I want to thank Mike for his many valuable contributions over the past several years," said Heelys interim CEO Ralph Parks. "We will miss his dedication and tireless efforts, and wish him all the success in his future endeavours."
Hessong said he had enjoyed his time at Heelys. "I am confident that the strong financial team I leave in place will ensure a smooth transition," he added.
