SWEDEN: H&M announces Marni collaboration

By | 29 November 2011

Fashion retailer H&M today (30 November) revealed plans to collaborate with Italian brand Marni on a collection for the high street brand.

The range will be available from 8 March in around 260 stores and online and will feature clothing and accessories using the Italian label's inventive prints.

H&M said the women's range features vivid colours, bold prints, with full pleated skirts, dresses, cropped trousers and jacquard knit. The line-up also includes jewellery, shoes, bags and scarves.

The men's collection uses subtle prints in the lining or as a contrast detail for shirts, and provides a modern and relaxed take on masculine classics.

"I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all our favourite pieces in signature fabrics and prints," said Marni founder and creative director Consuelo Castiglioni. "As always, I love juxtaposing prints and colours, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic adding sporty utilitarian elements."

Marni is the latest high profile designer collaboration for H&M and follows collections from Versace, Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Jimmy Choo and Lanvin.

Sectors: Apparel, Retail

Companies: H&M, Versace, Stella McCartney
