US: Holtz rejoins Ann Taylor in Loft design post

By | 7 June 2007

Diane Holtz has rejoined Ann Taylor Stores Corp as executive vice president of merchandising and design at the Loft division. She reports to Kay Krill, president and CEO of Ann Taylor.

Holtz, who was senior vice president and general merchandise manager of Ann Taylor between 1997 and 2000, will oversee all elements of design and merchandising for Loft.

A veteran of Bloomingdale's, she most recently had served as president of the Limited Stores division of Limited Brands since 2002. Limited Brands recently sold a majority interest in its Express division and is pursuing a similar arrangement for Limited as it seeks to focus on intimate apparel and body care retailing.

Krill said that Holtz "has a proven track record of success and accomplishment with our company, and I am confident that her deep understanding of our business and our brands will maximise the performance and future growth of the Loft division."

Holtz commented: "I look forward to working with the team to strengthen Loft's position in the marketplace and further grow this wonderful brand."

Ann Taylor operates 474 stores under the Loft banner as well as 347 under the Ann Taylor name and 57 outlet units, for a total of 878 doors.
