CANADA: Hudson's Bay CEO to retire

Hudson's Bay Trading Company says CEO Jeffrey Sherman will retire from 1 June this year.

There are no plans to replace Sherman, with the company noting current CEO and governor Richard Baker will continue in his role as CEO & chairman Hudson's Bay Trading Company and Governor of the Hudson's Bay Company. 

"I want to thank Jeff for his significant contribution to the re-positioning and success of Hudson's Bay Company and Lord & Taylor," said Baker.

"Jeff has built a strong leadership team of retail residents who effectively re-positioned the company with consumers [and who] improved the overall financial performance and structure of the organisation"

Hudson's Bay Trading Company is a North American retailer with banners spanning Canada and the US.

Lord & Taylor has 46 retail stores in nine states.
