Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in North China had sold out all its yearly wool and cashmere by the end of October this year. The autonomous region turned out 4,167.8 tons of cashmere and 69,741.13 tons of wool in 2000.By early October, 4,131.1 tons of cashmere and 66,232.5 tons of wool were sold, accounting for 99.12 per cent and 96.40 per cent of the output, respectively.The cashmere price has been kept at a high level since the beginning of this year. It averages 400 yuan per kilogram, double that of 1999.
