US: J Jill appoints Edmonds to board

Plus-sized clothing retailer J Jill has appointed Scott Edmonds, the former chairman and CEO of Chico's FAS, to its board of directors.

The company said yesterday (24 August) that Edmonds will make a significant investment in the business, in concert with majority owner Arcapita and Golden Gate Capital. 

The company said Edmonds' experience and insight will support J Jill president and CEO Paula Bennett and her team's "strategic position and direction to further grow the J Jill brand and expand its reach".

"I'm very excited to have Scott join our board of directors. His proven speciality retail success and expertise in this market segment will provide tremendous strategic support to the board as we partner to accelerate the growth of the J Jill brand and business," said Bennett.
