Leading UK sportswear and athletic shoe chain, JD Sports, on Thursday posted a 21.8 per cent rise in full-year pre-tax profits to £20 million compared to the year-ago period and said it eyeing further expansion. The company said in a statement turnover increased 20.1 per cent to £245.6m from £204.5m and it enjoyed like-for-like sales growth of 3.1 per cent. It added like-for-like sales at its JD Sports division in the first 11 weeks of the new fiscal year climbed 3.2 per cent.
