Turkish jeans maker Ozak Tekstil on Tuesday announced it plans to invest around $12 million in a new factory in the north west of the country.

The company, which intends to sell its own brand apparel in the UK later this year, said the new plant will boast the latest washing and sewing facilities and begin operations in April 2004.

Ozak employs more than 800 people and exports nearly all of its production to the US, Africa, Middle East and Europe including most of Scandinavia.
