US: Joe's Jeans launches exclusive Macy's brand

By | 1 March 2012

Denim specialist Joe's Jeans Inc is launching a new brand that will be sold exclusively in Macy's department stores.

The brand, called 'Else' was created "to reach young women who are looking for a premium denim-like product at a more affordable price", the company said.

Price points start at $68, and Macy's has dedicated space in its Impulse departments in 140 stores throughout the US to showcase the line. Products include five staple denim fits: skinny, boot cut, cropped, boyfriend and a cuffed short.

Joe Dahan, creative director and founder of Joe's Jeans, is overseeing the design of Else, with a newly created design team working in collaboration with Macy's.

"Else offers innovative products at an affordable price for our young, fashion-forward customers who will love this brand," said Tim Baxter, senior vice president of Macy's Women's division.
