Infosys Technologies Ltd has been chosen by children's apparel company Kids Headquarters to help the company comply with existing mandates from major retailers.

Infosys' RFID solution, based on Microsoft .NET, provides Kids HQ with flexibility and scalability to quickly adapt to compliance initiatives and also look beyond it to other strategic initiatives. The solution combines strategy, business process, technical consulting and implementation services.

Kevin Downs, chief technology officer at Kids Headquarters, said that the solution will help the company to "look beyond the current mandate for compliance and creates a roadmap for the company".

Downs added that, as well as helping the company to comply with top retailer Wal-Mart's directive, the solution would also help it to "transform a cost-driven initiative into a competitive differentiator".

Infosys provides end-to-end business solutions that leverage technology from clients across the entire software life cycle.
