US: Lapres joins Textronics as CFO

Geoffrey Lapres has joined Textronics Inc as chief financial officer, a new post at the firm that specialises in electronically conductive textiles.

Most recently Lapres was CFO of Tacit Networks, a New Jersey-based software firm.

Earlier in his career, he served as vice president of finance at Inrange Technologies, where he helped to orchestrate its initial public offering and six subsequent acquisitions.

He's also held financial posts with General Signal Networks and Unisys Corp.

Based in Wilmington, Delaware, Textronics develops and produces electro-textiles for markets including apparel, sports and medical and military products. It is a spin-off of Invista, formerly DuPont Textiles and Interiors.
