UK: Laura Ashley H1 profit up 14% but fashion falls

Fashion and homewares retailer Laura Ashley Holdings Plc has shrugged off a "challenging" consumer environment to post a 13.7% jump in interim pre-tax profit - and says sales momentum has continued into the second half.
