Sales growth fell and losses increased at many of China's 45 key textile businesses in the first 11 months of 2001, according to figures released by the Economic Information Centre of the State Economic and Trade Commission on Tuesday. Despite an eight per cent rise in sales revenue to 58.5 billion yuan ($7.06bn) between January and November last year, that figure was still 1.7 percentage points less than in the previous ten months, while the sale-production ratio was also down slightly.
