Limited Brands Inc, operator of the Victoria's Secret and La Senza chains, has hired Peter Horvath, the president of footwear retailer DSW, as executive vice president of business integration.

He will take up the post at the end of June, rejoining Limited Brands where he spent 19 years from 1985 to 2004.

Horvath will work closely with Martyn Redgrave, executive vice president and chief administrative officer for Limited Brands, and Les Wexner, chairman and chief executive officer, on a variety of operational strategies and initiatives.

"Peter's depth of experience with us; his knowledge of retail operations, merchandise planning and allocation; and his functional operating experience will serve us well as we look to build bench strength for the enterprise," said Wexner.

At Columbus-based DSW, Horvath had direct responsibility for all store operations, business and administrative functions.
