Liquor giant Wuliangye Group has invested US$3.62 million in setting up a clothing manufacturing unit, the Business Daily Update has reported.

The company, China's leading liquor maker, claimed it had already received internal and external orders for the new unit.

It is the company's latest non-core investment after opening an auto mould manufacturing plant in November.

According to company official Li Zongguang, the moves are part of Wuliangye Group's diversifying strategy.
