Specialist apparel operator Lululemon Athletica saw its full-year revenue top C$1bn (US$1bn) as net profits soared by more than 40% and comparable store sales increased by 20%.

For the fourth quarter ended 29 January, the Canadian company recorded net profit of C$73.5m, up from C$54.8m last year, on revenues up 51.4% to C$371.5m and comparable store sales up 26%.

Direct to consumer sales more than doubled to C$50.1m, the company added.

“Reaching a billion dollars in revenue is clearly an important milestone that as a company we can all be proud of,” said Christine Day, Lululemon CEO.
