Lyric Jeans is partnering with leading retailer Macy's for the launch of its new Lyrix line, inspired by the American Idol reality television show.
Lyric Jeans parent company Lyric Culture said the clothing range, designed for girls aged 7-16 and co-branded with American Idol, will be sold in 157 Macy's stores across the US, starting this month.
The range of tees, denim skirts, jackets and vests, velour hoodies and sweat pants focuses on the tween market, but there are plans to expand it further into kids' wear and accessories.
The various items in the collection are priced in the US$24-58 range, with the T-shirts in particular featuring American Idol imagery and lyrics from pop and R&B hits used on the programme.
"Macy's truly understands the concept of celebrity-driven and licensed product," said Hanna Rochelle Schmieder, president of Lyric Jeans. "They are the perfect retail partner for the Lyrix line."
