US: Machacek takes Liz Claiborne HR post

Fashion company Liz Claiborne has named Lisa Piovano Machacek as the company's new senior vice president and chief human resources officer.

Machacek, who joined the company in 1988, has held a variety of HR roles since moving into human resources in 1999, and succeeds Beth Reeves, who left the company last May.

She will report to company CEO William McComb and takes responsibility for all human resources functions across Liz Claiborne.

"Lisa is a long-time Liz Claiborne Inc associate with roots in product development, and has a profound understanding of the fashion business," said McComb.

"She also has deep connections with and respect from our associates and business leaders, and the essential functional expertise in building high-performance cultures and teams, and managing complex change."
