US: Maidenform names general manager of new DKNY license

Maidenform Brands has named Robert Gardner as general manager of its new Donna Karan and DKNY women's intimate apparel license.

In this role, Gardner will oversee all key aspects of the business, which is expected to launch at the beginning of 2009.

Most recently, Gardner was VP of sales for Maidenform's Department Store Business and prior to that worked in driving sales for Warnaco's Calvin Klein division.

He will report to Maurice Reznik, Maidenform's president.

Gardner is tasked with penetrating new distribution opportunities, principally in high-end department and specialty stores worldwide.
