Fashion business Mariella Burani is eyeing more European acquisitions, especially in the bag sector, CEO Giovanni Burani told reporters at a luxury goods conference yesterday (18 May).

The company, which recently floated leather goods unit Antichi Pellettieri, is considering buying both at the group level and for Antichi.

Antichi recently took a 51% stake in accessories label Coccinelle.

The group this week reported more than doubled first-quarter profit of EUR10.2m (US$13.04).
