Specialty catalogue retailer Brylane Inc has appointed Mark Friedman to the position of chief marketing officer, effective 3 June. Mr Friedman will be responsible for developing Brylane's corporate marketing initiatives, which include leading the e-commerce, consumer research and database and business development functions. He will also develop and manage the licensed businesses and strategic alliances, and will report directly to Russell Stravitz, chief executive officer of Brylane.
