Italian fashion and textiles group Marzotto SpA was on Tuesday reported to be looking at axing jobs at two domestic plants and expanding its operations in the Czech Republic.

The Il Sole 24 Ore paper cited an unnamed trade union official as saying the firm plans to cut 191 jobs at a textile factory in southern Italy and 120 jobs at a plant in northern Italy.

The official added the company plans to invest in expanding operations at its Czech production base in Brno.
