The dates of swimwear and lingerie trade fairs Mode City and Interfilière are being moved forward by two months next year to meet the buying needs of major brands and international weavers and manufacturers.

Organiser Eurovet said the events will now take place at the beginning of the season from 9-11 July 2011, instead of their usual show in September.

For Interfilière, which focuses on fabrics, the new timing means weavers will exhibit alongside a major trade fair for finished products.

For the Mode City brands, the dates correspond with different buying calendars around the world, and come after the first weekend of sales for the southern European countries, but before the beach season is in full swing.

Mode City will also retain a presence in September with the Cruise by Mode City show scheduled from 3-5 September 2011. This is intended to enable trendy brands to access buyers who visit Paris for the Prêt à Porter women's wear exhibition.
