Greek textile manufacturer Mouzakis expects its turnover and profit to improve in the second half of 2001, after low international cotton prices had a negative impact on its results for the first six months of the year.

First-half pre-tax profit was reduced by 18-20 pct, as compared to the same period of 2000. The company did not sell the whole of its production in the first half of 2001, anticipating a better climate on the international market.
