Marks & Spencer has entered a three-year partnership with the British Fashion Council (BFC), which will see the retailer working to celebrate British fashion, talent and sustainability.

As part of the initiative, M&S is set to launch two exclusive clothing ranges, which will feature a combination of British heritage, sourcing and production. They will be "luxurious" capsule collections for women and men and sit under the company's "Best of British" initiative.

"The M&S brand is synonymous with all things British so we are delighted that they will be partnering with us to champion the very best of the UK's manufacturing, textiles and practice," said BFC chairman Natalie Massenet.

"We are charging them with taking a lead on positive fashion and change within our industry. Myself and the team are looking forward to developing this with them over the next three years."
