Battling retailer, Marks & Spencer, has unveiled its new autumn collection which it is confident will help turn its ailing clothing sales round.

The company held the first showing to the press of its autumn collection yesterday and is unveiling it again today at another press show.

It says it has finally "got it right" after conducting extensive research into what its customers wanted.

The new range has been designed for the "classily stylish" female while there are also changes to the men's and children's ranges.

The new-look M&S collection includes a "perfect basic clothes" range of everyday clothing as well as a new collection of evening wear .

It is due to hit the shops in August and will be the first time M&S customers have seen a collection under its new head of design, Yasmin Yusuf.
