Greece's Nafpaktos Textiles reported a turnover of 2.8bn Greek drachmas ($7.1m) for the first six months of 2001, up two per cent on last year. Company pre-tax profit slid by 19.5 per cent in the first half to 487m drachmas ($1.2m) due to rising cotton prices. Consolidated turnover rose slightly to 3.7bn drachmas ($9.4m) from 3.67bn drachmas ($9.4m), recorded for the first half of 2000.
