Nautica Jeans Company, known for its innovative and authentic denim, will be partnering with Ford Models, the agency responsible for managing the careers supermodels such Stephanie Seymour, Jerry Hall, and Christie Brinkley, for the Ford Supermodel of the World model search. Nautica Jeans Company will celebrate the launch of its men's and women's fall denim collections by being the exclusive fashion partner for the 12-city search.

Nautica Jeans Company will provide all fashions for the tour which will include a Nautica Jeans Company fashion show in each city. In addition, Nautica Jeans Company will produce and co-brand the official Ford Model Supermodel of the World T-shirts, and award prizes including a five thousand dollar wardrobe for both the men's and women's finalists. To wrap the tour, Nautica Jeans will be featured on the runway at the national final competition in New York City later this fall at which time the Ford Supermodel national winner will be selected, who will represent the US at the International event to be held in Puerto Rico in December where contestants from over 40 countries will compete for almost one million dollars in contracts from the Ford Agency.

Nautica Jeans Company logo will appear on all national and regional print and radio advertising, Internet, as well as all Ford models promotional materials. In addition, Nautica Jeans will be participating in select cross promotional opportunities with other sponsors, including wardrobing Atlantic Records recording artist Ashley Ballard, who will be performing in all Ford Supermodel search events.

Ford Supermodel and Atlantic Records will provide a custom-designed CD sampler with the Nautica Jeans logo, to be available as a GWP at select Nautica Jeans retailers. In addition, the Nautica Jeans fall 2000 ad campaign will be featured an exclusive Atlantic Records/Ford Model video, which will be distributed to all malls where tours take place.

Along with Nautica Jeans, the Ford Supermodel of the World US Tour is being presented by Teenprint.com and is being sponsored by Twist magazine, Wella Lifetex Wellness, ModelNetwork.com, Atlantic Records and Pepsi.
