By Katie Smith | 17 April 2012
US department store operator Neiman Marcus Group has named former Ann Taylor and Coach executive Michael Kingston as senior vice president and chief information officer.
Kingston will join the company on 23 April. He succeeds Phillip Maxwell, who announced his retirement earlier this month.
Kingston joins the retailer from Ann Inc, parent company of apparel retailer Ann Taylor, where he served as executive vice president of enterprise transformation and technology. Prior to this, he worked at US leather goods and accessories brand Coach and luxury goods firm LVMH.
"The use of new technology and integrated systems is key to our omni-channel strategies," said Neiman Marcus president and chief executive officer Karen Katz.
"Michael's background in the retail industry, combined with his impressive skills planning, designing, implementing, and supporting applications for large multi-national corporations will blend perfectly with our very talented management team."
