Six new appointments have been made at US retailer Chico's FAS in an effort to improve the "bench strength" of the company's management team.

Elaine Boltz joins the company as senior vice president - strategy and consumer research, and will be responsible for providing the company with key strategies on improving consumer insight and research.

Judd Harner, who previously worked with Chico's while at Desgrippes Gobe, takes on the role of senior vice president - chief marketing officer for the Chico's brand, and will lead its creative marketing team.

Chico's also welcomes George Reider as senior vice president - White House Black Market Stores. Previously retail president at S Schwab, Reider will lead the White House Black Market field team.

Ronald Shulman joins as senior vice president - Chico's production and sourcing, and will be responsible for all aspects of production and sourcing for the Chico's brand.

Evelyn Reynolds will be responsible for overseeing the woven and accessories business for the Chico's brand in her new role as vice president - Chico's merchandising.

And finally, Mary Tucker joins Chico's as vice president - Chico's merchandising, and will take responsibility for overseeing the knitwear business for Chico's.
