Victorian discount chain, Dimmey's Store, has joined the contest to buy failed discount store, Harris Scarfe.  Dimmey's Store is among at least five bidders in the ring to buy Harris Scarfe, Australia's third largest retailer. Its main competitors include the Trescowthick family, a consortium led by a Perth-based internet retailer, Toorak Holdings, Coles Myer and oil company, Shell.
