Sportswear giant Nike expects Hungarian full-year sales to jump 50 per cent to $23.8 million in 2002 from the year-ago period, it was reported on Tuesday.

Nike's chief representative in Hungary, Istvan Sandor, told news organisation MTI the extra sales were the result of more efficient operations and a new logistics network.

He revealed footwear sales generated 50 per cent of its total revenue, clothing 40 per cent, and sports goods 10 per cent. Nike currently has around a third share of the Hungarian sportswear market.
