Norwegian women will spend more that NK1m ($111,064) on intimate apparel this year, reported the Dagens Næringsliv newspaper. And they are the top European market for push up bras and thongs said statistics from research company GfK Norge AS. Four million bras and 8 million panties will be sold in Norway in 2001, with over half being sold by the major clothing chains. Sales of upmarket, expensive underwear are particularly strong, the report concluded.
