USA: Pacific Sunwear Posts Jump In Q4 Sales
Leading casual clothing and accessories retail chain Pacific Sunwear of California Inc on Tuesday posted a 15 per cent climb in fourth quarter sales to $207.6 million, compared to the year-ago period.
The Anaheim-based firm reported a one per cent climb in fourth quarter profit to $14.2m, or 43 cents a share, compared to 2001, while same-store sales edged up 1.7 per cent.
It added total sales for the four-week period ended March 2, 2002, jumped 18.9 per cent to $42.8m from February last year, while company same-store sales dipped one per cent.
Pacific Sunwear currently operates 561 PacSun stores, 68 PacSun outlet stores and 102 demo stores for a total of 731 stores in 48 US states and Puerto Rico
