US: Perry Ellis appoints new chief marketing officer

Apparel company Perry Ellis has announced the appointment of former Abercrombie & Fitch brand marketing senior director Brett Dean as chief marketing officer.
Prior to Abercrombie & Fitch, Dean was with Calvin Klein Cosmetics Company as Creative Director, where he led US and international design teams for the Calvin Klein, Nautica, and BCBG brands until 2005.
"Since recently joining Perry Ellis I have found the current marketing infrastructure and teams to be very seasoned, creative, and up to date," said Dean.
While in his new role, Dean will be responsible for overseeing and executing all marketing strategies, brand management, direct and online marketing, advertising, promotions and marketing communications.
"This is a new and critical position for our company, which will bring cohesion to our marketing efforts as we operate in a pivotal retail environment guided by brand awareness and consumer endorsement," said Perry Ellis president and COO Oscar Feldenkreis.
Perry Ellis is a designer, distributor and licenser of men's and women's apparel, accessories, and fragrances.
The company's collection counts dresses and casual shirts, golf sportswear, sweaters, casual trousers and shorts, among its range.
