Apparel group Perry Ellis International has joined forces with The Collegiate Licensing Company to launch a new range of PGA Tour collegiate apparel.

The new range features the logos of 13 top colleges and universities from across the US, and will be available at 500 retailers during the back-to-school 2010 season.

To publicise the launch, four PGA golf tour professionals will wear the logos and colours of their colleges during tournament play.

The initial launch includes performance knit polos, with products for the holiday season due to include fleece, wind wear, jackets and long-sleeve performance knits.

Perry Ellis hopes to extend the range to include an additional 50 schools at a later date.
