By Leonie Barrie | 17 November 2011
Apparel maker Perry Ellis International Inc has named Carmine Petruzello as president of its Perry Ellis division, responsible for men's wear sales, merchandising, operations, and developing the brand's global distribution strategy.
Reporting to Oscar Feldenkreis, vice-chairman, president, and COO, Petruzello will be based out of the company's New York City office.
He joins from Buffalo David Bitton where he most recently served as president of its US division, responsible for all domestic wholesale operations. Before this, Petruzello held several senior-level positions with companies including Liz Claiborne Inc and Tommy Hilfiger.
"We are pleased to welcome Carmine to Perry Ellis International and are very excited about the breadth of experience in brand-building and leadership that he carries," Feldenkreis said.
"The Perry Ellis brand is at an inflection point and we feel that under Carmine's supervision, experience and leadership, the brand will further expand its global footprint."
