US: Phoenix Footwear makes management changes

Phoenix Footwear Group Inc has made a number of new hires and management changes in its finance, sourcing, product, logistics and planning operations as part of an ongoing review of the business.

The multi-brand footwear and accessories maker on Wednesday (24 October) promoted Scott Sporrer, currently the company's corporate controller, as interim chief financial officer. He will replace Ken Wolf , who leaves the company on 15 November.

On the sourcing front, Jim Ferguson is the new country manager responsible for the China sourcing office and operations.

New product development and material specialist personnel have also been hired for the China office, and Prasad Reddy will be leaving his position as vice president, sourcing.

In other appointments, Bill Bryant has been promoted to director of logistics and customer service.

And Mia Goodman, previously general manager of women's director of planning for the Chambers Belt Company, has been promoted to vice president, forecasting and planning.

Lastly, to support strategic initiatives and improvements, Doug Ford is taking up the new position of senior vice president, operations. He joins from Kurt Salmon Associates, the global management consulting firm.

Phoenix Footwear makes dress and casual footwear, belts and accessories under the Tommy Bahama Footwear, Trotters, SoftWalk and Altama brands.
