Leading clothing designer and retailer Polo Ralph Lauren Corp on Wednesday posted a slight rise in actual second quarter net income to $51.7 million compared to $47.8m in 2001. Revenue fell 2.4 per cent to $640.8m from $656.4m as increases in European wholesale and worldwide retail businesses were offset by falls in the men's domestic wholesale business and the elimination of the women's Ralph Lauren Sport and the Lauren for men lines.
